RUSPER MODEL RAILWAY CLUB
Controllers
It is possible to have two operators at each station equipped with more than one controller.
Due to the limited space available in some of the sheds we do not normally operate in this fashion, however it is a useful feature when training new members or entertaining visitors.
Control panels
Each panel has a track diagram of the station, double-pole centre off switches for sections of track, red and green signal lamps, red and green repeater indicators of the stations receiving trains, and control studs for point solenoids if applicable.
Timetables
A master timetable was constructed from separate tables for goods, vans, block freight, push pull, passenger and light engine movements. The tables list arrival and departure times for every station on the route of each train and any special instructions applicable.
Working timetables for each station have been created from the master and currently cover 18 hours of the day.
There are over 800 separate pages within these working timetables.
Bells
Each intermediate station is equipped with at least two bells/buzzers and Morse key type tappers for signalling trains. The procedure is outlined in the Operations pages of the website.
