RUSPER MODEL RAILWAY CLUB

Rusper station is the ultimate destination on the railway for mainline and branch trains. There is a Southern Railway ‘art deco’ style station building on the concourse at the end of the six platforms, plus two parcels bays and an end dock which are available for a wide variety of passenger and vans trains.

In addition, there is a large goods yard and extensive Motive Power Depot on the ‘Down’ side of the station throat and a diesel refuelling point on the ‘Up’ side for the various early diesel types that run in to Rusper. Both mainline and branch trains can access any of the platforms but normally the branch trains are confined to platforms 5 & 6.

Operations at this station are similar to those at Hookwood with the added complication of branch line traffic. Again, maintaining time according to the timetable is critical.
